Oh My ... Did I say "WEEKLY Art Journal??"

 "Best Laid Plans," as they say.  As my art-life gets busier there is less time for posting on this blog--and others, let alone Facebook which I do little of.  However, after joining the "Florida Artists Group" (FLAG), I will probably start posting artsy stuff therein, or create another separate Facebook page just for that.  

So to update this sort-of-weekly-but-probably-longer-a-time blog, following are my entries into "Arte Dell' Orchida - From the Treasure Coast to the Amalfi Coast," a fundraiser for the Italian American Club of Vero Beach's Scholarship Fund.  Held October 9th-10th at the Club.

Entered the painting below for the Vero Beach Art Club's "Another Beautiful Day" at their Annex Gallery's monthly show on 14th Street in Vero Beach. I will be sitting the Gallery space this Friday, October 29th, and can't wait to see what's on the walls--should be a very happy and beautiful show. I also have about a dozen paintings in the ongoing exhibits, "Marketplace," in the upper gallery.

I have just been juried into the "Florida Artist's Group," or "FLAG," as a member.  It is a state-wide Artists' organization, founded in 1949, and is divided into 8 separate areas, whose work has attained national and state-wide recognition.  The mission of FLAG is to stimulate the highest standards of creative art within the State of Florida, and I am proud to have reached a high-enough bar to gain membership into this fine organization.  And so watch for news of whatever FLAG is doing through my blog.  A show is coming up, and possibly a video I may be entering, so stay tuned!
